A new pier in Terminal 1, for non-Schengen traffic, has been in operation since 21 April 2026. The airport says it is home to approximately 40 international airlines and can handle up to twelve short- and medium-haul aircraft or six wide-body jets simultaneously.[2]

The S1 (via Moosach) runs every 20 minutes daily from approximately 3 a.m. to midnight. The S-Bahn stops at Flughafen München station, for Terminal 1 and 2.[3]

The Lufthansa Express Bus runs every 20 minutes between Munich Central Station, Munich North (Schwabing) and the airport.
