Travel guides and the facts behind every place worth visiting

Latest story 129 articles

A travel blog that starts with the place itself

Originfacts is an independent travel website, published in English for readers around the world. We write destination guides, flight and hotel advice, car rental explainers and practical travel tips, and pair them with reference guides to airlines and airports, so you can understand a place and plan the trip to it in one place.

It is written for independent travellers who plan their own trips: people comparing routes and fares, choosing a neighbourhood to stay in, working out how many days a city needs, or checking a baggage allowance before they pack. Prices, schedules and entry rules change often, so confirm the final details with the airline, hotel or official source before you book.

08Our standards

How we choose and check what we publish

  1. 01

    Topics travellers actually plan around

Topics come from a planned list, based on what travellers search for, current routes, seasonal demand and destinations we want to cover in depth.

  2. 02

    AI-assisted, and said so

Many articles are researched and drafted with a large language model (currently Anthropic’s Claude) working from an editorial brief and guidelines. Many cover images are AI-generated illustrations, not photographs of a specific hotel, aircraft or person.

  3. 03

Airline and airport facts from the source

Airline figures are read from the airline’s own pages, and airport figures from the airport and its official transport operators. Each checked figure carries its source link and the date it was checked; unchecked fields are left blank.

  4. 04

    Corrected when we are wrong

Prices, routes, visa rules and fees are the details most likely to go out of date. Report an error to contact@originfacts.com and it is corrected or removed.

“We use AI as a tool to research and structure content faster, not as a way to publish without human judgement.”

09FAQ

Questions about Originfacts

Who runs the site, how it is written and how it makes money. Anything else, ask at contact@originfacts.com.

What is Originfacts?

Originfacts is an independent travel website operated by FXN Holdings. It publishes travel articles alongside reference guides to airlines, airports and destination countries, so you can read about a place and plan the practical side of the trip in one place.

What topics does the travel blog cover?

Articles are grouped into travel tips, flights, hotels, car rentals and destinations. Separately from the articles, the site has 104 airline guides and 30 airport guides covering things like baggage allowances, check-in times and getting from the airport into town.

How are the airline and airport facts checked?

Airline figures are read from the airline’s own pages, and airport figures from the airport and its official transport operators. Each checked figure is shown with the page it came from and the date it was checked. If something has not been checked, the guide leaves it blank rather than guessing.

Is AI used to write the articles?

Yes. Many articles are researched and drafted with the help of a large language model (currently Anthropic’s Claude), working from an editorial brief and guidelines, and many cover images are made with generative image models. AI-generated images illustrate an article; they do not show a specific hotel, aircraft, price or person. The methodology page explains the process in full.

Does Originfacts sell flights or hotel rooms?

No. Originfacts does not sell travel, take payments or issue tickets. Some links go to booking sites and travel providers, and the site may earn a commission if you book through them, which usually does not change the price you pay. Always confirm the final price and conditions with the provider before booking.

How do I report a mistake?

Email contact@originfacts.com with the page and what looks wrong. Prices, routes, visa rules and fees change often, so these are the details most likely to go out of date; reported errors are corrected or removed.
