Star Air carry-on baggage allowance
Hand baggage goes in the overhead bin or under your seat, space permitting.

- 1 bag of 15 kilograms free checked baggage per passenger; the fare table lists 15 kg for the Economy Regular fare. Your allowance is as per the fare rules on your ticket.

- At the check-in counter: INR 600 for every extra kilogram. Pre-booked online (non-refundable): 5 Kg Rs. 2750, 10 Kg Rs. 5500, 15 Kg Rs. 8250, 20 Kg Rs. 11000, 30 Kg Rs. 16500.

Star Air's fare rules under its policy effective from 16th SEP 26.
- Cheapest fare
- Economy Regular (base fare): 7 kg cabin baggage and 15 kg checked baggage. Changes cost ₹ 3000 beyond 72 hrs or ₹ 3500 between 2 hrs and 72 hrs before departure, plus fare difference; no changes within 2 hrs. Cancellation costs ₹ 3500 beyond 72 hrs or ₹ 4500 between 2 hrs and 72 hrs; non-refundable within 2 hrs. On a no-show only applicable taxes are refunded.
- Free cancellation
- No cancellation fee if you cancel within 24 hours of booking for travel more than 7 days away.

If your Star Air flight is delayed or cancelled
Star Air does not pay compensation or provide facilities for cancellations and delays caused by extraordinary circumstances beyond its control.
- Rebooking and refunds
- If a flight is cancelled or rescheduled by more than two and half hours (depending on the length of the journey), you can choose a refund or rebooking onto an alternative Star Air flight at no additional cost, subject to availability, as per DGCA CAR Section 3 Series M Part IV.
- Compensation
- If you are eligible for compensation under DGCA CAR Section 3, Series M, Part IV, claim by emailing customercare@starair.in from the email address on the booking; it is paid after KYC document checks.
- Meals
- If your flight is cancelled and you are already at the airport by the original flight time waiting for the alternate flight, Star Air provides free meals and beverages.

- Gate close
