These allowances apply on Link's Saab 340B Plus and Metro 23 aircraft, on all fares.

Cabin bag size

1 piece of cabin baggage for adults and children, max 48(L) x 34 (H) x 23 (D) cm. Infants have no cabin baggage allowance.

Cabin bag weight

Maximum cabin baggage weight 7kg for adults and children.

Extra items

In addition you may carry a handbag or purse, an overcoat or blanket, an umbrella or walking stick, a small camera or binoculars, reading matter, or crutches or a prosthetic device you depend on.

Allowance by fare

Flexible and Freedom fares: 1 piece (maximum 23kg). Standard and Deal fares: 1 piece (maximum 15kg). Same for adults and children; infants have no allowance but may check 3 infant items (maximum 23kg total) free.

Size and weight limits

Each piece must not exceed 140cm total (length + width + height); no single item may exceed 32kg.

Excess fees

Excess baggage: $ 33.00 for each extra piece. Overweight: $5.50 per kilogram over the allowance per piece. Amounts are Australian dollars including GST.

Within control

If a Link flight is cancelled, misses your destination or makes you miss a confirmed connection on your ticket for reasons within its control, Link will, at its discretion, carry you on its next service with space or re-route you; if neither is suitable, it gives a credit for a replacement flight within 12 months of ticket issue, or a refund on request if no acceptable replacement can be offered in that period.

Beyond control

For delays or cancellations caused by events beyond its control, Link uses reasonable endeavours to rebook you on its next available flight at no extra cost, or gives a flight credit to the value of your ticket, valid for 12 months from the original ticket's issue date. Other costs are not covered unless required by law.

Online check-in

Online check-in opens 24 hours before scheduled departure for bookings made with Link or an Authorised Agent; codeshare passengers, unaccompanied minors and passengers with special needs must check in at the airport. Passengers with checked bags must still visit the counter.

Counter times

As a general rule, check-in opens 1 hour before departure and closes 30 minutes before scheduled departure; your itinerary gives the deadline for each flight.
